Executive Director: St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum

The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum (Museum) is looking for a visionary, inspiring, motivated, and highly experienced leader to be its next Executive Director. This individual should be an innovative connector, savvy financial analyzer, honest evaluator, successful in resource development and stewardship, effective in conflict resolution, and has a commitment to accountability to ensure the health, growth, and sustainability of the Museum.

The Museum is a niche Maritime Museum, one of the most visited lighthouses in the country, and one of the top tourist attractions in St. Augustine, Florida.

The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of the Museum. The Museum is comprised of three legally separate entities – the Museum, LAMP, and Salt Run Sales – that congruently make up the overarching St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum. The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit.  It is the parent organization of the other two entities, holds most of the assets, and is overseen by a Board of Trustees. The Lighthouse Archaeology Maritime Program, Inc. (LAMP) is a 501(c)3 whose major donor is the Museum. This program is an active, ethical, and scientific research program. LAMP is overseen by the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees. Salt Run Sales, Inc. is a for-profit wholesale and tour company that handles the Museum’s ancillary activities and pays taxes. Salt Run Sales is overseen by the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees.
