The European DiveSafe Project pursues the study, design, development and validation of an innovative product, to support underwater archaeologists in the documentation and conservation of the underwater cultural heritage. The instrument will have to be based on a tablet equipped with various environmental sensors, a high resolution camera and an acoustic geo-localization system. Such devices, in a simplified form they will also have to be used for robotics and marine environment education in educational and research environments (objectives of the European RoboPisces Project).
