CITiZAN Sustainability Manager

http://www.bajr.org/Employment/UKEmploymentDetails.asp?ID=118204

This is a Fixed Term role until 31st July 2022 with an immediate start or as soon as possible.

During COVID-19 the post will be home-based, and there is flexibility to continue this longer term, with an expectation thereafter that the candidate will attend one of MOLA’s Offices (London or Northampton) or the York or Portsmouth project offices. Flexibility with regard to travel will be necessary to other CITiZAN offices, and other parts of the UK and abroad as required.

MOLA are seeking a dynamic, organised, innovative and self-motivated Sustainability Manager to manage the final year delivery and post project sustainability stage of our NLHF supported Coastal and Intertidal Zone Archaeological Network (CITiZAN).

If you are interested in coastal community archaeology and CITiZAN – England’s only citizen science response to the recording of coastal heritage at threat by the forces of climate change and erosion – then we would love to hear from you. For an informal discussion about the role please contact Caroline Barrie-Smith; CITiZAN Project Manager (cbarriesmith@mola.org.uk).

CITiZAN is a MOLA project, run in partnership with the Council for British Archaeology and the Nautical Archaeology Society. The current three-year project is possible owing to generous support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, with additional support from the National Trust, Historic England, The Lloyd’s Register Foundation, and The Crown Estate.
