Applications are invited for the position of Research Fellow to help with investigation of the Neolithic of the Outer Hebrides, in collaboration with Professor Sturt as part of his Philip Leverhulme award and then as part of an AHRC funded project in collaboration with Professor Duncan Garrow (University of Reading) and Angela Gannon of Historic Environment Scotland.
This work will involve both GIS analysis of remotely sensed data and fieldwork (above and below water) in the Outer Hebrides. The successful candidate will have a PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Neolithic Archaeology of the Outer Hebrides, and will also assist with elements of teaching to do with maritime archaeology, prehistory and scientific diving. For this role you may be required to drive University vehicles, so a full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
This is a full time fixed term post for 3.5 years.
