AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, creative, highly talented Archaeology Team Lead for immediate employment in the Germantown, MD office.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience conducting a diverse range of projects and a well-developed client base that includes working with Federal, State, and local government agencies and private sector clients. Prior experience providing direct supervision to staff, and direction to support teams. Existing, mature, and tested Client relationships preferred; as is an ability to generate new work for the Team, Office, and Region.
Project work will encompass the full scope of Cultural Resource Management (CRM) activities including: archaeological surveys (Phase I-III); National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) evaluations through determinations of eligibility and formal NRHP nominations; effects determinations pursuant to National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) Section 106 as well as cultural resource impact analyses in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); preparing Section 106 agreement documents, including Memoranda of Agreements and Programmatic Agreements; participation in Section 106 consultation; preparing 4(f) Evaluation Reports under the Department of Transportation Act; and managing teams with specialized skillsets, including nautical/underwater archaeology, archaeological geophysical and marine remote sensing, faunal analyses, archaeobotany, and cemetery delineation.
