University of Malta, Resident Academic Full-time Post in Maritime Archaeology, Department of Classics and Archaeology.
The appointee will be required to contribute to the teaching, research, and other activities of the Department of Classics and Archaeology, within the Faculty of Arts in particular Maritime Archaeology, and as may be required by the University.
The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Ph.D. or equivalent research-based doctorate in Maritime Archaeology. Due preference will be given to candidates who show sound, deep and broad knowledge of the discipline, as well as competence, leadership and team-working abilities. A track record in research, including international publications and fieldwork, underwater prospection and excavation, and environmental coastal reconstruction, as well as academic experience at tertiary level, in Maritime Archaeology, will be favourably considered.
