Arches-related #job: Historic England is seeking to fill 2 open positions for Marine Data Analyst who will assist in transforming detailed marine heritage data within the Marine Data Exchange (MDE) and the Arches-powered Marine Historic Environment Record (MHER).

Responsibilities of this role will include processing, recording, enhancing and analyzing geospatial information derived from seabed surveys to create accessible heritage information. Advanced database and GIS skills are required, as well as experience working with marine or heritage data.

There is one full time and one part time, fixed-term contract available.

As our Marine Data Analyst (MDE Heritage Accelerator), you will transform detailed heritage data generated by marine development into consistent, accessible spatial information within the Marine Data Exchange (MDE) and the Marine Historic Environment Record (MHER). You will help deliver the objectives of the MDE Heritage Accelerator project, which is a major innovative project funded through The Crown Estate’s Offshore Wind Evidence & Change (OWEC) programme. You will encompass processing, recording, enhancing and analysing geospatial information derived from seabed surveys to create accessible heritage information.
