πͺ΅ Nature of the site: habitat, fishery, piles
βοΈ Nature of the work:
This project aims to verify the condition of a site that was unearthed in the 1990s and partially relocated in 2025. The work will consist of:
β’ a controlled horizontal stripping of the surface sediments to clear the remains (or confirm their disappearance), followed by their recording (graphic, photographic, photogrammetric and topographic) in order to reassess the state of conservation of the deposit;
β’ samples from wooden piles for radiocarbon dating and xylological analyses.

Accommodation, meals and travel expenses covered.
π Equipment to bring:
Personal diving equipment (PPE) that complies with and is up to date with its regulatory periodic checks, safety shoes, duvet, sheets and towels.
π Admission requirements:
β’ be over 18 years of age;
β’ up-to-date vaccination record;
β’ Certificate of Aptitude for Hyperbaria (CAH) Mention Bb “Underwater and Underwater Archaeology” (leisure level is not accepted);
β’ a valid medical certificate of fitness to work in a hyperbaric environment issued by an occupational physician or a doctor holding a DU/DIU in underwater and hyperbaric medicine (the certificate of a sports doctor or a federal doctor will not be accepted);
β’ Experience in archaeology desirable;
β’ Team first aid certificate (PSE1) up to date with its retraining is highly appreciated;
β’ Priority will be given to divers who register for the entire campaign.
