The project involves the collection and analysis of surface and underwater archaeological data, within a GIS system, aimed at studying the part of the territory south of the ancient Roman colonia. In particular, the use of the Grado lagoon as a port will be analysed, also based on the findings of shipwrecks in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The reconstruction of this water landscape in the classical and post-classical eras must also be directed to the study of the interconnections of lagoon navigation with sea and river navigation.
