We are particularly looking for applicants who specialise in “water/marine issues”, which could mean the environment and sustainability in the Baltic Sea region, maritime archaeology, climate change or transportation issues in the Baltic Sea region.
An individual is qualified to apply for a position as a postdoctoral research fellow if he/she has a doctoral degree in a relevant research area, in particular with focus on environment and sustainability in the Baltic Sea region, maritime archaeology, climate change or transportation issues in the Baltic Sea region, or has a qualification that is equivalent to a doctoral degree in these areas. This requirement must be fulfilled at the time the employment decision is made.
Primary consideration will be given to those who have attained the above qualifications within three years prior to the deadline for application for employment as a postdoctoral research fellow. Applicants who have a doctoral degree, or an equivalent qualification, from an earlier date may be considered if there are exceptional circumstances. Exceptional circumstances are leave due to ill health, parental leave, positions of trust in trade union organisations, service in the Swedish armed forces, or other similar circumstances. Applicants must also have the required personal skills to do the job well and to represent the university in a beneficial way.
