HJF is seeking a Senior Archaeologist, Underwater to support the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) located in Honolulu, HI. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to DPAA. This position is 100% remote. US citizenship is required.
Provides professional and scientific assistance pertaining to the Organizational scientific-related activities. This position may interface with employees, consultants, partners, and contractors, and communicates through briefings and written products with Agency leadership, U.S. Government employees, family members, foreign officials, and partners as well as potential partners. This position is responsible for working within a program of effort for a specific domain (i.e. underwater or terrestrial) by serving as an advisor and conduit for decision-making between the program’s archaeologists (Lead and Project), Program Support staff, and Agency leadership. Key responsibilities include assisting in Agency partner project design, budget planning and monitoring, strategic planning as directed by Agency leadership, and coordinating the actions of Agency, HJF, and partner personnel to ensure adherence to protocols and the execution of effective partner operations.
