Purpose: The Mariners’ Museum and Park’s mission is to connect people to the world’s waters, because through the water – through our shared maritime heritage – we are connected to one another. Educational enrichment programs represent one of the Museum’s four core functions: exhibits, programs, research, and conservation. The Education Department is committed to providing equitable access to a unique, engaging museum experience that enriches students’ education. The History Educator is a professional charged with working under the general supervision of the Director of Education to support the Museum’s educational and interpretive mission to provide history-based programming to K-12 students. The Education Department is comprised of Educators and Senior Educators. The History Educator will be trained and mentored by the Senior Educators. While the focus of this position will be the presentation and development of history-based programs, the History Educator will also assist in delivering STEM-focused programs.
This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary of $35,600. Candidates must submit a Cover Letter in order to be considered.
