Portsmouth Submarine Memorial Association/Albacore Park in Portsmouth, NH, seeks an Operations Manager. PSMA is the chief steward of the USS ALBACORE (AGSS) submarine. The Operations Manager reports to the Executive Director and will function to manage the daily operation of Albacore Park Submarine and Museum including maintenance and repair, hours of operation, security of site, managing staff and volunteers and oversight of the museum store. The ideal candidate will be focused on establishing and maintaining a fully operational facility while helping to build the capacity of the organization to thrive for many years to come.
PSMA seeks an individual with a proven track record of success derived from service within or outside the organization and its membership. A background in museum management along with knowledge of Navy history is preferred, combined with evidence of an appreciation for collections interpretation, historic preservation, community memory and an interest in Naval history.
