We have an immediate opening for a full-time Maritime/Terrestrial Archaeologist to join our Pensacola, Florida, office to support projects throughout the Southeast and worldwide. This position will be responsible for participating in marine remote-sensing surveys (including side-scan sonar, magnetometer, and sub-bottom profiler); processing and interpreting remote-sensing data using industry standard software; archaeological diving missions; and producing technical reports compliant with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The position also will support terrestrial operations as needed, including Phase I, II, and III fieldwork and report writing. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and organized, possess excellent technical writing skills, have the ability to work efficiently on simultaneous projects while meeting all deadlines, and be available to work long days in the field over extended periods of time. Candidates with GIS and Department of Transportation (DOT) experience are highly desirable.
