Executive Director, Cape Cod Maritime Museum

Ready for a challenging opportunity? The Cape Cod Maritime Museum, a small museum located on the waterfront in the Cape’s commercial and tourism center, is looking for an Executive Director to lead it to a period of growth over the next several years.Responsibilities include:Work with the Trustees to establish short- and long-term goals.Manage available resources to ensure CCMM is a fiscally sustainable entity. This includes the establishment of an annual budget, reporting, and meeting financial targets.Daily oversight to ensure that CCMM is adequately staffed for hours of operation, programs, and events.It is our intention to grow the Museum over the coming years, and we expect the ED to lead in increasing operating revenue, and to work alongside the Trustees to cultivate new friends and donors. Required Skills & Personal Characteristics: Experienced business professional with the confidence to effectively address challenges and constructively manage both strategic and interpersonal issues. Demonstrated leadership/managerial skills. Proactive and capable of suggesting new alternatives to current practices which will involve the development of strategic and tactical plans. Able to influence others in order to build consensus and meld diverse viewpoints. Strong communication and written skills. A minimum of a BA/BS or commensurate experience with 501(c)(3) organizations.
