This position includes work associated with cultural, tribal, historic, environmental, and archeological investigations, studies, and reports. Work involves conducting field investigations, preparing, coordinating, and reviewing reports and/or information necessary to ensure that work authorized by a Department of the Army (DA) permits are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Conduct terrestrial and maritime investigations to ensure that work is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
One year of specialized experience which includes; 1.) Directing, coordinating, and performing terrestrial and maritime investigations for evaluation of historic and prehistoric cultures, 2.) Preparing cost estimates for cultural resources contracts, 3.) Designing and preparing scopes of work for cultural resources contracts, and 4.) Implementing policy and procedural guidance utilizing the National Historic Preservation Act and other laws and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above.)
