CITiZAN/MOLA are seeking a dynamic, organised, and self-motivated Community Archaeologist to work within the South West Team to deliver; CITiZAN Low Tide (self-guided) Trails and Responsible Coastal Stewardship intertidal survey courses, as a part of CITiZAN Discovery Programmes in Hampshire and Devon. As part of our NLHF activity plan you will be responsible for key deliverables around recruiting and training new volunteers to monitor intertidal archaeology, engaging diverse communities, working with the higher education sector and creating innovative interpretation for self-guided walks.

If you are interested in CITiZAN Discovery Programmes – England’s only community-led response to the irreversible damage being done to our coastal heritage by the forces of climate change and erosion, then we would love to hear from you.  We are happy to hear from both full-time applicants and those who are interested in part-time for either the South Devon Rivers Discovery Programme or the Solent Harbours Discovery Programme.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Caroline Barrie-Smith, CITiZAN Project Manager (cbarriesmith@mola.org.uk).
