The Marzamemi field school is an archaeological excavation project that takes place off the coast of Sicily. Students will participate in underwater excavation and object conservation at the site of the so-called “Church Wreck,” a ship that sank while carrying prefabricated architectural pieces for the construction of a church in the 6th century AD. In 2019, this field school will be accepting applications for diving and non-diving positions.
