Netherlands Cultural Heritage Service, Maritime Archaeologist Abroad

Closes 7 November

As a (maritime) archaeologist at the Maritime Program Abroad you contribute to the development of the management and preservation of the Dutch maritime heritage overseas.

You set up projects with partners in other countries and report on this, do knowledge transfer, act as advisor and also help in projects of others. These can be diving projects, but also projects that involve knowledge exchange via GIS (Geographic Information System).

You draw up reports, provide substantive support and advise the partners involved. You map underwater sites using GIS / Data systems and carry out (diving) research.
In addition, you will be deployed in guiding / managing projects. Quality control, developing knowledge products and securing knowledge is part of the job. You also maintain your network and make your information available to third parties.
