Public Archaeology Coordinator
Position Description: The Public Archaeology Coordinator is responsible for working independently to manage the day-to-day operations of the FPAN region under guidance from the FPAN Director. This includes the development, promotion, and implementation of public archaeology programming and materials within the East Central region (Brevard, Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and St. Lucie counties). The office for this position is located in Sanford, Florida. This position will coordinate with professional/public partners, manage internships and volunteer programs, and address inquiries from the public. Other duties include: maintain a social media and web presence; coordinate with the Florida Division of Historic Resources to implement/support programming; assist local governments with archaeological resources; and advocate for the state’s cultural resources in a variety of ways.
Scientific diving, photogrammetry, 3D printing, and GIS experience preferred.
Salary range – $36,000.00 – $42,000.00
