The Archaeologist of Canadian Adventure Charters Ltd and is responsible for creating and implementing a clear sense of direction for the Corporation and its related businesses by defining, communicating, and overseeing the Corporation’s mission, goals, operating principles, and strategic actions.

The Archaeologist holds a successful portfolio building and managing public trading corporations, including private and non-profit for a minimum of 15 years, working with Investor Relations (IR) Public Relations (PR) Stakeholders, networking and building partner relations with 500 Fortune Companies. Duties of the Archaeologist will include development and implementation of research designs, work plans, schedules, fieldwork, and analysis and reporting assisted by a team of qualified project managers, archaeologists, researchers, and other scientists. Responsibilities of the Archaeologist may include management and supervision of archaeological projects, including survey, site evaluation, and site mitigation and other duties as assigned. Additional duties would depend on the experience level of the applicant, but may include marketing, proposal development, client coordination, and regulatory consultation.
Applicants must have:
Master’s Degree in Cultural Resources Management, Archaeology, Maritime Archaeology, Anthropology or closely related field
10+ years of progressive Archaeology or Cultural Resource Management experience cumulating to 10+ year of supervising archaeology marine projects, with preference given to archaeological projects in the Artic- Antarctica & Med Atlantic Oceans.
Knowledge of basic archaeological marine field work, lost sunken treasures, shipwreck’s and laboratory procedures, to include mapping, photography, and collection and handling of artifacts and ensure that all work and data collected are accurate, organized, and of high quality.
Proven ability to maintain favorable crew relations and contribute in a team setting.
Excellent management and communication (oral and written) skills.
A clear understanding of National Register of Historic Places eligibility criteria and evaluation of cultural resources and the laws and regulations governing them.
Self-motivated, solutions-based approaches to client undertakings and management and partake in on- the- job staff training.
Special consideration will be given to those with experience with Provincial- Canadian- European, Bahamas and USA and federal agency and tribal consultation, and an excellent reputation within the professional, regulatory, and/or affected communities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment with effective time management, multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
