Marine Archeologist, Fugro GeoServices, Inc., Lafayette, LA, apply before 21 November 2011.
Interpretation of side scan sonar, magnetometer, sub-bottom profiler, and bathymetry data; preparation of maps and reports for assessment of marine geological/archaeological conditions.
· Primarily office-based position, however fieldwork opportunities can be expected.
Position requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate degree in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field; at least one year of fulltime professional experience in prehistoric and shipwreck archaeology.
· Have demonstrated ability to carry research to completion.
· Must have excellent writing, presentation & oral communication skills; be proficient in interpretative workstation usage.
· Ability to pass full complete physical exam
· Have current driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
