The National Civil War Naval Museum, Civil War Naval Symposium, January 2009

The National Civil War Naval Museum announces its Seventh Symposium.  Ironclad ships is the theme for this year’s gathering. The speakers

will be:

John Quarstein will speak on the Battle of Hampton Roads

John Coski will speak on the ironclads of the James River Squadron

Ozzie Raines will speak on the construction of ironclad models for museums

Roger Durham will speak on the combat between the Union ironclads and Ft. McAllister

Gordon Watts will speak on the CSS Georgia

The symposium will be held on January 10, 2009 at The National Civil War Naval Museum in Columbus, Georgia. There will be a meet-the-author social on the evening of January 9. There is a small fee for attending.
