The extension on the call for papers/posters for the AIMA/AHSA/AAMH Conference September 2008, Adelaide, South Australia *ends this Friday 15 August*.

Please use the online form to submit paper and poster proposals. Paper and poster proposals should be no more than 150 words. Papers will be either 15 or 20 minutes long depending on the number of papers proposed. The deadline for paper and poster proposals is 15 August 2008. Registration will remain open and you can do this on the website as well.
Workshops are still open for participants, but will be filling up shortly. Registration for conference workshops should be conducted through the workshop organisers. Workshops on offer include:

2) 2008 Nautical Archaeology Society Conference
Please be advised that the Nautical Archaeology Society 2008 Annual Conference will be held from the 7th to 9th November 2008, with the lectures taking place on Satruday 8th November 2008 at Action Stations, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard (UK).
NAS 2008 offers an opportunity to discuss research, reveiw recent archaeological activies, and exchange ideas on investigating, researching, and managing our underwater and maritime cultural heritage.
We have a new speaker added to the line-up. Dr Mark Holley of Michagan College. Mark will discuss new methods of rapid field survey of archaeological sites. His paper will nicely compliment that of other speakers: Matthew Harpster, Philip Robertson, Mike Williams, Rebecca Stalker, Mark Beattie-Edwards, and Gordon LePard. Additional speakers will be announced speakers shortly.

3) Education Volunteers interested in Underwater Archaeology
The Museum of Underwater Archaeology (MUA) is looking for an education volunteer to help develop our online programs. The MUA works with underwater archaeologists from around the world by publishing their work online and has developed an educational resource with great potential. The education coordinator would help us develop further online resources and hands on kits for teachers. So if you have an interest in underwater archaeology and would like to get more involved please contact me with any questions you might have at:
