Summer Graduate Courses in Maritime History

The Frank C. Munson Institute of American Maritime Studies is accepting applications for the 2008 summer courses. Students may audit or participate for credit in any of three courses: Maritime History Survey, Maritime History Seminar, and Independent Research, all of which are accredited through Trinity College, and the University of Connecticut.

Housed on the grounds of its parent organization, Mystic Seaport, The Museum of American and the Sea, students will have access to the G. W. Blunt White Library. The Library holds 75,000 volumes and a manuscript collection of approximately 700,000logs, journals, business records, and correspondence. In addition to the library, students have daily access to the museum’s collection of vessels and artifacts. Field seminars to historic seaports round out the studies.
